MCAT classes will be held Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a one hour lunch break from Noon to 1:00 p.m.

Cancellations and Refunds
Full refunds minus a $10 processing fee will be granted until the day before the class begins. Refunds cannot be given once the class has begun.

MCAT Teachers Bios

Michael R. Stark, Ph.D. (Biology)
Michael Stark is a faculty member in the Department of Physiology and Developmental Biology. He has primary teaching responsibilities in Human Anatomy and Developmental Biology. Dr. Stark also conducts research investigating early nervous system development. Dr. Stark received his Bachelors degree from BYU (Zoology), his Masters degree from Idaho State University (Biology), and his Ph.D. from UC Irvine (Developmental and Cell Biology).

John D. Lamb (Inorganic Chemistry)

John D. Lamb is currently Eliot A. Butler Professor of Chemistry and Associate Dean of General Education and Honors at BYU. He is the Editor of the Journal of Inclusion Phenomena and Macrocyclic Chemistry. He has served as a visiting professor at three universities in Italy, one in Germany, and one in China. He is the recipient of the BYU Outstanding Achievement in Sponsor Research Award, the Karl G. Maeser Excellence in Research and Creative Arts award, the Alcuin Fellowship, and was Carnegie Professor of the Year for 2000. He has published over 150 papers in the peer-reviewed chemistry research literature in the area of macrocycle-based separations.

Dr. Steve Walker (English)

Steve Walker is professor of English at Brigham Young University, where he teaches Modern British Literature and The Bible as Literature. He has been honored as Maeser Distinguished Teacher, Honors Professor of the Year, Brigham Young University Alumni Professor, and is currently Nan Osmond Grass Professor.

A Ph.D. from Harvard University, his publications include Seven Ways of Looking at Susanna and A Book of Mormons.
