If you want some “one-on-one” time with your father or son(s), come join BYU head basketball coach Dave Rose, his staff, and members of the men’s basketball team at BYU’s Fathers and Sons’ Camp! This on-campus-housing camp begins Friday evening and continues through Monday at noon. Saturday, enjoy a barbecue and entertainment. On Sunday, you will have the opportunity to tour Temple Square, attend a sacrament service with a special speaker, and enjoy a Sunday evening fireside!
Fathers and Sons’ camp will build on the fundamentals in all aspects of basketball and provides experiences with several other sports. (Note: Because of NCAA guidelines, this camp is not exclusively a basketball camp.) Experience quality instruction in fundamentals such as passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, offense, and defense. In addition, fathers will compete with other fathers, and sons will compete with other sons according to age and skill level.
Fathers and sons will improve on their skills, learn more about each other, and experience spiritual growth. Register now to create some of the best memories you will ever have at Fathers and Sons’ Camp!
Director
Dave Rose, a tireless worker, gifted motivator, and strong strategist, guided BYU to back-to-back Mountain West Conference Championships in his second and third years as head coach. Since Rose has been head coach, BYU has had three consecutive 20-win seasons, and he has been awarded Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year both years.
He has 22 years of coaching experience, including 8 seasons as Steve Cleveland’s lead assistant and 10 seasons as a head coach at the junior college and high school levels. Rose compiled a 167-57 record in seven seasons as head coach at Dixie State College while guiding six of his seven teams to national top-20 rankings, including a ranking as high as No. 2, and three conference titles. His peers honored him as the 1993 Scenic West Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. While at Dixie, Rose coached three NJCAA All-Americans as well as longtime NBA player Keon Clark.
Since coming to Provo in 1997, Rose has played a vital role as BYU’s associate head coach for eight years and head coach for the last three years in rebuilding BYU’s program from an inherited 1-25 team into a regular NCAA tournament participant and 20-game winner. BYU has qualified for postseason play seven of the past eight seasons, including four NCAA bids, while claiming three MWC titles. Rose has been nationally recognized as the top assistant in the Mountain West Conference (Street & Smith’s 2004–05 College Basketball Preview) and as one of the top 25 college basketball recruiters (2004 Rivals.com). While his work has caught the attention of those outside of BYU’s program, his most loyal following comes from those who have been on the inside.

Important Registration Note
During registration, you will need to use a 10–digit number to link a father to a son. This can be any 10–digit number, usually a phone number, that is easy to remember. If you wish to be linked to others at the camp, each camper must use this same link number. Only 6 people can be linked together.
Also, “additional sons” cannot register online. Call (801) 422-8925 if you have additional sons to register. You can register a father and first son online (use link number), then call (801) 422-8925 to register the additional son(s) and give the link number.
Three convenient ways to register: Check Space Availability.
