TAUGHT BY BRENT A. BARLOW
Brent A. Barlow received outstanding teaching awards from the three universities where he has taught: Southern Illinois University, the University of Wisconsin––Stout, and Brigham Young University. He currently teaches in the School of Family Life at BYU. Brother Barlow served as chair of the Governor’s Commission on Marriage in Utah from 1998–2004. He has authored several publications on marriage, including Ensign articles, a weekly newspaper column for the Deseret News that he wrote for eleven years, and six books. He is a past speaker for Know Your Religion and Campus Education Week. Brother Barlow has BS and MA degrees from Brigham Young University and a PhD degree from Florida State University. He is a former clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and a former member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. He and his wife, Susan, are the parents of seven children and have fifteen grandchildren.
